Is this your snake? [link]
I know the color isn't quite the same, but these guys are quite variable. One thing you can do is search for reptiles in [my state] on Google, usually a state's department of natural resources, or a local university, have a nice list of all snake species that live in the area along with pictures, and it's not too many to look for trying to find the right one. Good luck!
